The client is based in Finland and launched Vreal.fi as their first product to provide immersive virtual experiences of historical places. The platform is designed for students, libraries, and general users who want to explore historical sites through guided virtual tours. The client has been actively promoting the product through webinars and seminars to attract investors and expand its reach. Recently, they secured a deal with an MP minister to develop virtual tours for historical sites, marking a significant step in scaling the platform and bringing cultural experiences to a wider audience.

Challenges Faced

  • Live Video & Audio Issues: Integrating real-time video and audio using Agora presented reliability challenges. Users occasionally experienced missing audio, delayed voice transmission, and video lag or freezing during live guided sessions, which affected the overall experience.

  • Limited Access to Live Tours: The platform relied very heavily on scheduled live guided tours. If users missed a session, they had to wait for the next available date, reducing flexibility and limiting continuous engagement with the platform.

How Logix Built Addressed the Challenges

  • Enhanced Live Streaming with Ant Media: We upgraded the live streaming infrastructure by implementing Ant Media to deliver a more stable and high-quality video and audio experience. This helped resolve issues such as missing voice, latency, and video freezing that were occurring with the previous setup. As a result, live guided tours became smoother and more reliable, ensuring users could fully engage with the experience without technical interruptions.

  • On-Demand Tour Accessibility: To address the limitation of scheduled sessions, we introduced an on-demand tours feature that allows users to access previously recorded live tours at any time. This provided greater flexibility for users who missed live sessions and ensured continuous access to content without waiting for the next scheduled tour. It also increased user engagement by allowing learners to revisit tours and explore historical sites at their own pace.
